Designing an exhibition poster for the joint exhibition of the Photofuss youth group at the Museum of Photography in Finland.
Kylmälä is now a member of the Photofuss youth group at the Museum of Photography in Finland for the second year. At the end of the first season (2023–2024), the group of 13 members organized a group exhibition at the Cable Factory, in which Kylmälä participated with her own photographic works and designed an official advertising poster for the exhibition. The poster utilizes scanned, hand-designed typography and vector and pixel graphics, which have been used in the illustration around the images of the group members’ works. The poster is A3-sized, and 40 copies were printed.
Photofuss’s Do you feel it too? group exhibition was on display at the Cable Factory for two and a half months in the summer of 2024. The exhibition dealt with freedom from different perspectives, reflecting on the possibilities of photography to depict the surrounding and inner world. In addition, the exhibition uses photography to visualize both the obstacles that challenge the realization of freedom, as well as alternative ways of being and overcoming contradictions towards freedom.
